AB InBev’s US business unit is extending its non-alcoholic beer portfolio with the launch of a flavoured variant of Michelob Ultra.

The 0.0%-ABV product, Michelob Ultra Zero Lime, will roll out across the US starting this month. It will be available nationwide in six-pack 12oz (35.5cl) bottles, with 12-pack 12oz cans on sale in selected states, according to Anheuser-Busch.

The non-flavoured alcohol-free version of Michelob Ultra was first released in the US 12 months ago. In November, the Canadian division of AB InBev, Labatt Breweries, released Michelob Ultra Zero in the country.

“Our focus is always on our consumers and ensuring that we continue to invest and innovate in growing segments to meet their needs,” said Anheuser-Busch CCO Kyle Norrington. “That includes brewing three of the fastest-growing non-alcohol beer brands in the industry.”

Last month, AB InBev’s UK division opened the group’s second de-alcoholisation unit in Europe to increase the production capacity of its alcohol-free beers.
