Education has always been at the heart of Bar Convent Berlin. For its 20th edition next monht, BCB is taking its learning programme to the next level with ‘Heads, Hearts & Tails’, a new framework designed to combine industry insight, personal development and practical skills for today’s hospitality professionals.

Inspired by the distillation process, the programme is structured around three pillars that reflect the evolving needs of the global bar and beverage industry.

Seminar at BCB Berlin

Heads

‘Inspire Thinking’ focuses on innovation, leadership and future trends. Through keynotes, panel discussions and fireside conversations, international experts will explore the ideas shaping the future of hospitality. Sessions will be hosted on the new Embassy Stage, an interactive space designed to encourage dialogue and participation. The programme is curated by the BCB Education Board, comprising Priyanka Blah, Eleni Nikoloulia, Maria Gorbatschova and Damien Guichard, who bring a broad range of international perspectives to the agenda.

One of the announced sessions brings together Maria Gorbatschova, Giacomo Gianotti and Vijay Mudaliar to explore modern drink design, examining how flavour, glassware, garnish and presentation work together to shape the guest experience.

Hearts

‘Create Understanding’ places people at the centre of the conversation. Topics such as diversity, company culture and mental wellbeing reflect the growing importance of talent development, employee retention and healthy workplace environments across the hospitality sector.

Tails

‘Enable Action’ focuses on hands-on learning and practical application. Interactive workshops and demonstrations are designed to provide attendees with skills they can immediately apply in their own businesses. A good example is the Wild Fermented Soda Pop Workshop led by Alexis Goertz, founder of Edible Alchemy, where participants will explore natural fermentation techniques through tastings and practical exercises.

BCB 2026 also reflects wider industry trends, including the continued growth of the low- & no-alcohol category. As Low & No Ambassador Camille Vidal will contribute her expertise in mindful drinking, alcohol-free innovation and modern hospitality, helping to spotlight one of the fastest-growing segments of the beverage market.

With ‘Heads, Hearts & Tails’, BCB is introducing an education programme that balances inspiration, people and practical action, reinforcing Berlin’s role as a global platform for the future of the bar and hospitality industry.
