English winemaker Nyetimber has partnered with London-based Heathrow Airport to launch a channel-exclusive gift box and a pop-up store for its namesake brand.
The activations, timed to coincide with the airport’s 80th anniversary this year, include a temporary shop in Terminal 5 that Nyetimber has claimed is “a first-of-its-kind standalone space for an English sparkling wine brand” at Heathrow. A limited-edition gift box for Nyetimber’s Classic Cuvee Multi-Vintage (below), featuring a UK flag, an aeroplane and Heathrow’s 80th anniversary logo, has also gone on sale at the airport with an SRP of GBP33.99 (US$45.53).
Nyetimber’s pop-up will be open until 26 August, selling the West Sussex-based company’s flagship Classic Cuvee, English Summer Rosé, Nyetimber Tillington Single Vineyard and the brand’s ‘1086’ range. Brand representatives will also host daily wine tastings in the store.
Last year, the company agreed a “long-term” partnership with England Rugby, becoming the sport’s first English sparkling wine sponsor.
