From heritage whisky houses to next-generation spirits brands, Scotland made a bold statement at the Scottish Development International event at ProWein Düsseldorf earlier this month.
Set against a backdrop of thousands of international buyers, distributors and on-trade decision-makers, the event was more than a showcase, it was a platform for connection, collaboration and global growth. Conversations sparked, partnerships explored and Scottish brands reinforced their position in a premium, export-driven market.
While scotch whisky remains at the heart of Scotland’s global success, the category continues to evolve. Flavoured spirits, RTDs and spritz serves are opening up new opportunities, helping brands reach wider audiences and tap into high-growth international markets.
The momentum seen at ProWein reflects a broader ambition: to support Scottish drinks producers in scaling internationally while staying true to their craftsmanship, provenance and quality.
