Rémy Cointreau has appointed Annabelle Chung as MD of the Asia Pacific operations within its global travel retail division.
Chung (below) joins the Rémy Martin owner following eight years at French GTR major Lagardère Travel Retail, where she worked her way up from senior business analyst to executive VP of merchandising & commercial for Asia Pacific. She will take up her new role in Rémy’s Singapore office on Monday (23 March).
Chung takes the mantle from David William Dang, who left Rémy in September last year to fill the same role at Campari Group. He had held the position at the Cointreau brand owner for just over a year, having previously spent 17 years at LVMH across wines (with Moet Hennessy) and perfumes and had also worked for Diageo in Singapore for two years.
Prior to her time at Lagardère Travel Retail, Chung worked for fashion and beauty brand L’Oréal in Paris, where she held finance and strategy roles.
“Annabelle brings a rare combination of deep travel retail expertise, strong commercial leadership and extensive experience across Asia and Europe,” said GTR CEO Fida Bou Chabke. “Her understanding of the regional ecosystem and her ability to build strategic partnerships will be invaluable as we continue to accelerate our development across Asia Pacific.”
