Suntory Oceania has appointed Ashish Gandham as MD of the recently established multi-beverage business across Australia and New Zealand.
Gandham (below) joins from within Suntory Global Spirits, where he currently serves as head of the company’s global travel retail business, based in Singapore. He replaces Mark Hill, who departed the business at the end of last year.
In his new role, Gandham will work alongside Dai Minato, CEO of Suntory Oceania, to lead the subsidiary following the integration of Suntory’s spirits and soft drinks operations in the region. He will relocate to Sydney and is expected to take up the position in the coming months.
Gandham joined Suntory Global Spirits (then Beam Suntory) in 2019, following a nine-year stint at Diageo, which included time in India, the UK, GTR and South-East Asia. Before Diageo, he spent four years at Johnson & Johnson.
The Oceania business commenced operations in July last year, opening its AUD400m (US$267m) facility in Ipswich, Queensland.
