US alcohol retail multiple Total Wine & More has confirmed the appointment of Ryan Ross as its CEO.
Ross (below) will join the privately-owned company one week from today (12 January). When contacted by Global Drinks Intel, a spokesperson for Total Wine said he replaces Troy Rice, who left in August after having spent almost four years as CEO before heading to PGA Tour Superstore.
Having spent around 33 years in the retail industry, including a year in the UK with high-end-focussed Harrods in 2009, Ross joins Total Wine from apparel & fashion retailer Neiman Marcus, where he has been the brand president & head of NMG customer insights since 2022.
With around 280 outlets in 30 states, Maryland-headquartered Total Wine claims to be the “largest independent retailer of fine wine, spirits and beer” in the US.
