Constellation Brands has announced that chief legal officer Jim Bourdeau will retire from the role next year, after 12 years with the company.
Bourdeau (below), who joined in 2014 as senior VP of general counsel & corporate development, will be replaced by Jeff LaBarge from the beginning of March. Following his retirement, Bourdeau will remain with the company as a senior advisor, assisting in the transition of responsibilities.
LaBarge joined Constellation in 2016 and was most recently promoted to senior VP of senior legal counsel in February. His prior experience includes a decade at Nixon Peabody where he focused on mergers & acquisitions, corporate law and transactions in the food, beverage and agriculture sectors.
LaBarge, who acccording to Constellation has played key roles in several strategic initiatives and investments in recent years, will now lead the company’s legal and public affairs functions.
Last month, the group lowered its sales forecast for fiscal 2026, citing a continuation of weaker consumer demand and macroeconomic headwinds.
