Vranken-Pommery Monopole has confirmed that Lanson-BCC is set to buy its Heidsieck & Co Monopole business.
The naming of champagne peer Lanson comes just over a week after Vranken-Pommery said it was looking to offload Heidsieck. Today’s announcement stated that “exclusive negotiations” are underway, with Vranken’s expectation being that a deal will be signed on 1 October.
A value for the transaction was not disclosed.
Lanson-BCC and Vranken-Pommery Monopole are relatively similar in size: Within a day of each other in January, the pair released their full-year figures for 2024. While Lanson booked sales of EUR255.4m, a 6% decline versus the year prior, Vranken-Pommery had a top line of EUR302.9m, down 10.5% on 2023.
