UK-based brewer and hospitality group Adnams has appointed Andy Driscoll as CFO, succeeding interim funding director Robin Paul.
Driscoll (below) will join the Suffolk-based business on 1 September and become an executive board director. His previous roles include CFO positions at Constellation Cold Logistics, Valeo Snackfoods and Kettle Foods.
Adnams described the appointment as a “significant step” in its growth strategy for 2025 and beyond.
Last year, CEO Jenny Hanlon told The Sunday Times the company had explored a potential sale to private equity or another brewer, but no deal materialised.
“We didn’t like what was brought to the table,” Hanlon said. “If Adnams is to grow and expand, it must be built on a strategy that makes sense — not just a financial restructure.”
In May, the Society of Independent Brewers & Associates (SIBA) reported that the number of breweries in the UK fell again, with 136 fewer in the country at the end of March than a year earlier.
