Italian liqueur producer and brand owner Luxardo has appointed Chimera Brand Development as its latest distributor in the UK.
The UK-based distribution business will take over from Amber Beverage’s division in the country (formerly known as Cellar Trends) from 16 July. Luxardo described the change as a “different style of distribution partnership” without disclosing an on- and off-premise focus.
“This marks an exciting new chapter for Luxardo – one that allows us to be more closely involved in the development of our core brands in one of our most important markets,” said export director Nicolò Luxardo.
The company’s namesake brand’s portfolio includes Maraschino, Limoncello, Amaretto, Bitter Rosso, Espresso Liqueur, Original Sambuca Dei Cesari, Sour Cherry Gin, Maraschino Cocktail Cherries and more.
Last month, the UK distribution of Ron Barceló shifted to Illva Saronno, with the Disaronno liqueur owner’s UK unit lined up to handle the rum brand.
