California’s Riboli Family Wines has adjusted its distribution model in its home state in conjunction with Breakthru Beverage Group.

The San Antonio Winery owner has switched “from a supplier-distributor model to a supplier-only focus” in the US state through this deal with the distribution business. The transition will take place over the next 30-60 days and Breakthru is “folding in team members from Riboli’s extensive California operations”.

Global Drinks Intel has contacted both companies for further information on the nature of the “supplier-only focus”.

California becomes the latest state in the collaboration between the pair after Breakthru signed a deal in August last year to distribute Riboli’s portfolio in Delaware, Minnesota, Nevada and Pennsylvania.

“This partnership with Breakthru Beverage Group – another family-led organisation that shares our values and vision – positions us to adapt to California’s evolving market while honouring our heritage,” said Riboli Family Wines president, Steve Riboli.

Breakthru also agreed a distribution partnership with non-alcoholic start-up DioniLife last month for the latter’s Mash Gang beer brand in Colorado.
