Moët Hennessy has drafted in US actor Harrison Ford as the face of Glenmorangie single malt scotch in the brand’s new global campaign.
The Star Wars and Indiana Jones star features in a 12-strong series of mini-episodes for the ‘Once Upon a Time in Scotland’ activation, which debuts this week. The spots, which can be viewed in full here, was directed by actor & film-maker Joel Edgerton and shows Ford getting to grips with “the authentic Scottish experience”, including kilt etiquette and bonding over a dram of the single malt.
The worldwide activation marks the end of Glenmorangie’s ‘It’s Kind of Delicious and Wonderful’ campaign, which started in 2020.
“Harrison Ford is a true global icon and genuine whisky lover,” said The Glenmorangie Co CEO Caspar MacRae. “Collaborating with him was a dream come true. We hope whisky lovers around the world will enjoy exploring the episodes and learning more about our whiskies through Harrison’s eyes.”
‘Once Upon a Time in Scotland’ rolls out across all of Glenmorangie’s markets today (28 January) comprising online video, connected TV and out-of-home formats along with experiential, PR and social media. Six full-length episodes and an array of behind the-scenes content will initially be available to view on Glenmorangie’s website, with the rest released throughout 2025.
Late last week, Diageo took the unusual step of formally clarifying recent press speculation claiming a divestment of its Guinness business and/or Moët Hennessy stake is in the offing.
