The latest listing, ahead of the festive gifting season, marks another monumental milestone for the brand.
Founded by Katherine Jenkins OBE, the UK’s most successful classical singer, and Andrew Levitas, artist & social-impact filmmaker, the award-winning Cygnet Collection is the ultimate expression of luxury, highlighting the importance of sustainability whilst delivering unparalleled hand-crafted quality.
Born from the desire to break the mould in a traditionally male-dominated industry, whilst channelling their combined passion for environmental conservation, Katherine founded Cygnet to change the paradigm in gin, creating a spirit that stands alone; enjoyable neat without needing to hide behind mixers. As a gin drinker herself, Katherine set out to develop a luxury spirit that – owing to its ingredients, distillation process and superior quality – would appeal to a refined female audience who mindfully consume luxury products.
Created using the finest botanicals and purest Welsh water, the Cygnet Collection is globally recognised and awarded for its sophistication – both for its liquid credentials and for striking bottle designs alike – whilst embracing the juniper and citrus cues that are the building blocks of the category. The talented sixth generation distillation team utilise a vapour infusion process with Cygnet, resulting in incredibly smooth gins.
Both the brand’s pinnacle Cygnet 22 (Katherine’s own personal expression within the range and the only gin to be awarded the coveted ‘Master’ medal at The Spirits Business Luxury Masters 2024 awards) and ultra-premium Cygnet Welsh Dry Gin (awarded gold for its distinctly vibrant profile at The Spirits Business Global Gin Masters 2024) are now available on shelves at Fortnum & Mason, located at 181 Piccadilly, London. Founded in 1707, Fortnum & Mason is renowned for curating the finest selection of luxury products and delivering exceptional shopper experiences.
“As Cygnet enters its second award-filled year, it’s an incredible milestone to partner with Fortnum & Mason,” said Andrew Levitas. “This expansion aligns with our vision to create the world’s most luxurious and elegant spirit, which tastes incredible and reinforces our personal ethos of sustainability and excellence”
The brand’s commitment to sustainability runs deep. The founders have embedded environmental responsibility into the brand’s DNA, ensuring that the freshest, highest-quality ingredients are sourced responsibly through local suppliers and that the finished gin is presented in hand-crafted sustainable packaging. The Cygnet 22 bottle is hand-blown and weighs up to 50% less than the average spirits bottle, reducing the brand’s carbon footprint. Mindfully designed, Cygnet encourages repurpose and reduced waste with its plastic free bottles developed to be recyclable and refillable (printed with removable organic ink), promoting regeneration and upcycling.
