Founded by the UK’s most successful classical singer, Katherine Jenkins OBE, and artist & social-impact filmmaker Andrew Levitas, Cygnet has made quite the impression at home since its debut in September 2023. The category-disrupting, award-winning brand is rapidly shaking up the UK’s high-end on- & off-premise channels, where it has grown its presence significantly. As a reflection of its quality credentials, award-winning Cygnet Welsh Dry Gin is now on the shelves nationwide in multiple retailer Marks & Spencer and is delighting shoppers in-store & online alike, with its vibrant and versatile juniper & citrus profile.
The Cygnet 22 expression, meanwhile, is available in branches of Waitrose, John Lewis & Harvey Nichols.
The two iterations from Cygnet Gin have exploded across the London luxury restaurant and bar scene, with availability across Sexy Fish, Bacchanalia, Apollo’s Muse, Scotts Mayfair, Scott’s Richmond, Annabel’s, Daphne’s, 34 Mayfair, J Sheekey’s, The Ivy Collection, Searcy’s St Pancras, Searcys at the Gherkin Searcys Champagne Bar Battersea, Lavo, Hakkasan, Quaglinos, Bluebird, Madison, 14 Hills, 20 Stories, GG, Pont, Firmdale Hotels, The Maine Mayfair, Celtic Manor and Park Gate Hotel as well as nationwide in the Gaucho restaurant chain, amongst many others.
Born from a desire to break the mould in a traditionally male-dominated industry – and channelling Katherine and Andrew’s passion for sustainability – Katherine founded Cygnet Gin with the intention of creating a sophisticated luxury gin that, thanks to its ingredients, distillation process and superior quality, can be enjoyed neat on the rocks, or with a light tonic.
With an underpinning sustainability ethos, Cygnet Gin is presented in mindfully designed bottles that encourage repurpose and reduced waste, subsequently celebrating and elevating the gin category, whilst serving luxury in every sip.
On the awards side, the most recent industry recognition for Cygnet Gin was achieved at the Global Gin Masters 2024 Awards hosted by The Spirits Business for both Cygnet 22 and Cygnet Welsh Dry Gin. These wins add to the Gold Awards that Cygnet Gin already achieved earlier this year from the IWSC 2024 for both Cygnet 22 and Cygnet Welsh Dry Gin & Tonic (the sole Gold Medal G&T recipient this year in the ultra-premium premixed category).
Created using the finest botanicals and purest Welsh water, Cygnet 22 also achieved Gold and Signature Botanicals for Wales at this year’s Global Gin Awards, to accompany Global Best Design Award for the striking and sustainable bottle. The recognition of its sophistication and sustainable ethos for both liquid and packaging in the first year is huge confirmation that Cygnet Gin is achieving what it has set out to do.
Over the summer, festival attendees and sports fans have been offered the opportunity to trade up their experience and enjoy award-winning Cygnet Gin & Tonic. Among the raft of account listings are Peppermint and Compass Levy securing presence at Principality Stadium Cardiff, Cardiff City FC, Swansea City AFC, Chelsea Football Stadium, Depot Live, Llangollen International Musical Eisteddfod and Camp Kerala, to name a few.
