Teremana has kicked off its Asia Pacific entry, starting off in Australia through the global travel retail channel.
The tequila brand’s three-strong portfolio has gone on sale this month in Sydney airport with operator Heinemann Tax & Duty Free. Mast-Jägermeister, which owns a stake in Teremana, also confirmed in the announcement that a domestic launch in Australia is due later this month.
“July is one of the peak travel periods from Sydney Airport, with 760,000 international travellers forecast to depart,” said the company’s GTR VP, Tobias Witte. The executive also noted that Australia is “one of the top ten tequila markets outside of the US”, according to IWSR Drinks Market Analysis.
The per-unit SRPs for Teremana in GTR are:
- Blanco – US$45.99
- Reposado – $49.99, and
- Añejo – $59.99
Earlier this month, Heaven Hill Brands unveiled a marketing activation for its Lunazul tequila in the US.
