Cordón Negro, which celebrates its 50th anniversary this year, will be the subject of a redesign for its Negro, Oro and Rosé varietals. The new look, designed to “reinforce the brand’s quality and consistent craftsmanship”, will be unveiled at Vinexpo Asia in Hong Kong between 28 and 30 May ahead of its roll-out to the cava’s markets over the coming weeks.
Also showcased on the Henkell Freixenet stand at the trade show will be the Alfred Gratien champagne. The brand, which marks its 160th anniversary in 2024, has lined up a limited-edition Cuvée Paradis Brut Rosé Vintage 2008, dubbed ‘The Angels’ Share’, in time for Vinexpo Asia.
Attendees will also be introduced to the 11%-ABV aperitif extension of the group’s Mionetto prosecco brand. Mionetto Aperitivo was released initially to the global travel retail channel almost exactly a year ago.
Henkell Freixenet will be at stand F142 in Hall 1 throughout Vinexpo Asia.
In results from the 12 months to the end of December, the sparkling wine specialist booked a 4.1% lift in sales (on a reported basis), with Freixenet and Mionetto up by 4% and 11%, respectively.
