Here’s a round-up of the new launches from spirits brand owners in the week commencing 13 May.


Bottle of and box for Benriach 1966 Cask Aged 50 Years

Pernod Ricard’s Method and Madness Amburana Wood Edition single pot still Irish whiskey

  • Irish whiskey, single pot still, six years old, matured in ex-American whiskey barrels then finished for between four and seven months in ex-cachaça casks made from amburana wood, 46% ABV
  • Release this week in Ireland and Northern Ireland as well as in the global travel retail channel. Heading to the US early next year
  • SRP of EUR95 (US$103) per 70cl bottle

Coconut Cartel Blanco rum

  • Rum, white, blend of unaged Dominican Republic rum with one-year-old rum matured in ex-bourbon barrels, cut with coconut water, 46% ABV
  • On sale through selected off-premise operators in the US from this month
  • SRP of US$28.99 per 75cl bottle

Campari Group’s Wild Turkey Master’s Keep Triumph

  • American whiskey, rye, ten years old, 52% ABV
  • On sale in the US off-premise next month “ahead of Father’s Day” (16 June)
  • SRP of US$275 per 75cl bottle, available in limited numbers

The annual Master's Keep series from Wild Turkey prepares for its tenth anniversary next year with the brand's oldest age-statemented rye whiskey to-date

Scapegrace Distilling Co’s Anthem and Vanguard New Zealand single malt whiskies

  • Whisky, single malt, New Zealand, no age statements. Distilled using manuka plant-smoked barley, both at 46% ABV
  • Available in 20 (unspecified) markets worldwide from this month
  • Retail price points not disclosed, both are on sale online for NZD119 (US$72.50) per 70cl bottle

South-Island-based Scapegrace Distilling Co is taking its core namesake brand's portfolio global

Proximo Spirits’ Bushmills 15 Year Old single malt

  • Irish whiskey, single malt, 15 years old, aged for “at least” 14 years in first- and second-fill ex-bourbon barrels then finished in ex-cognac casks for “up to” 12 months, 40% ABV
  • Debuts as a UK exclusive this month, initially online through Amazon ahead of a wider off-premise rollout
  • SRP of GBP49 (US$62) per 70cl bottle

The barrels used to finish the first addition to Bushmills' UK core range since 2001 have been sourced from a "small, family-run cognac maker"

Constellation Brands’ Marqués de Casa Noble añejo tequila

  • Tequila, añejo, a blend of 12 extra añejo tequilas with nine añejos that have been matured for “up to” five years
  • Launching in the UK through distributor Marussia Beverages this week
  • SRP of GBP220 (US$276.50) per bottle, limited to 700 units globally

Waterford Distillery’s The Waterford – Cuvée Koffi six-year-old Irish whiskey

  • Irish whiskey, single malt, contains liquid from 24 “single farm origins” in Ireland, all aged for between six and seven years in first-fill American oak (36%), virgin American oak (17%), “premium” French oak (21%) and “vin doux naturel” (26%) casks, 50% ABV
  • Worldwide rollout this week in the off-premise channel through specialist spirits retailers, also on sale online for global delivery
  • SRP of US$91.50 per unit

Pernod Ricard’s Redbreast Dream Cask Zenith Edition 38-year-old single pot still Irish whiskey

  • Irish whiskey, single pot still, 38 years old. Matured for 27 years in ex-bourbon casks then transferred to first-fill ex-oloroso sherry casks, 45.3% ABV
  • On sale next week through an online ballot open only to consumers in the ‘Redbreast Birdhouse’ club
  • SRP of EUR1,000 (US$1,087) per bottle, limited to 822 units in total

Bardstown Bourbon Co’s Amrut Collaborative Series American whiskey

  • American whiskey, comprising a blend of five whiskies distilled in Indiana and Kentucky for between eight and 14 years, two of which have been finished for 18 months each in ex-Indian single malt barrels from Amrut Distilleries, 55% ABV
  • On sale to US consumers from this week
  • SRP of $159.99 per 75cl bottle, on sale in limited numbers

Hensol Castle Distillery’s Hensol Castle Spiced Rum and Cherry Spiced Rum

  • Rums, Caribbean, both expressions undergo a fourth distillation that includes spices such as cinnamon and nutmeg. Spiced Rum has an ABV of 40%, Cherry Spiced Rum is 38%
  • Released this month in the UK’s off-premise channel through multiple retailer Asda across Wales. Cherry Spiced Rum is available online
  • SRP of Hensol Castle Spiced Rum is GBP27 (US$33.80) per 70cl bottle, Cherry Spiced Rum set at GBP30

Brown-Forman’s Benriach 1966 Cask Aged 50 Years single malt

  • Scotch whisky, single malt, Speyside, 50 years old, 44.5% ABV
  • Unveiled this week at the TFWA Asia Pacific Exhibition & Conference in Singapore
  • SRP of GBP25,000 (US$31,300), limited to 37 units, five of which will be available through GTR
