The move brings the industry veteran on board during what the privately-owned company described as “a new growth era”. Andreu’s career in beverage alcohol commenced in 1989, when he founded Maison Ferrand, subsequently leading on the launches of Pierre Ferrand cognac, Citadelle gin and Plantation (now Planteray) rum.
As well as his time in the cognac category, which also included three years as CMO for Camus between 2017 and 2020, he spent almost five years with Stoli Group, rising to become MD for Europe.
“I am delighted to welcome Jean-Dominique to Brockmans,” said co-founder Neil Everitt. “He has an impeccable pedigree in developing super-premium spirit brands and we’re excited to welcome [him] to Brockmans as we look to supercharge business growth across our many markets.”
Eighteen months ago, Brockmans teamed with Premium Brand Group for its namesake brand in Central and South America. The portfolio was joined by Agave Cut, a full-strength iteration with a retail price-point of GP46 (then-US$55.50), in October.
