Recently-launched Scotch whisky brand Coachbuilt has secured a partnership with Rolls-Royce London for a co-branded high-end limited edition.
Coachbuilt Rolls-Royce London 30 Year-Old is a blended expression from the one-year-old start-up, which was co-founded by former Formula One driver Jenson Button. The liquid features whiskies between 30 and 35 years that have been aged predominantly in ex-Sherry casks before being finished for an unspecified period in ex-Bourbon barrels.
Limited to 300 units at GBP1,500 [US$1,865] each, half of the allocation has been ring-fenced for Rolls-Royce customers.
Car manufacturers have risen in profile in the Scotch category in recent years: Last year, Edrington unveiled The Macallan Horizon, a single malt in a horizontal bottle designed by Bentley Motors, while Beam Suntory’s Bowmore brand, which has been Aston Martin’s ‘exclusive spirits partner’ since 2019, renewed the packaging for the co-brand global travel retail-only range in July.
