Edrington has further leveraged the partnership for its single malt Scotch whisky brand The Macallan with carmaker Bentley Motors, lining up a limited edition expression for next year.
The tie-up, which commenced just over a year ago, will feature The Macallan Horizon, a single malt that according to Edrington “defies the traditional vertical aesthetic of a whisky bottle and reflects the horizontal trajectory of the automotive world”. The packaging for the whisky, specific details of which were not disclosed, is notable by the absence of a base for the bottle.
The brand owner will divulge more information about the whisky “closer to its release”.
Late last month, spirits peer Beam Suntory renewed the packaging of a line from Bowmore single malt that forms part of its “exclusive spirits partner” for Aston Martin.
