Sales & marketing business Infinium Spirits has recruited the former CEO of Bumble Bee Foods as its president.
The San Diego-based company, which represents the likes of Corralejo Tequila Crystal Head and Seagram’s vodkas and Skrewball Peanut Butter Whiskey in the US, appointed Jan Tharp to the position earlier this month. Tharp stepped down at Bumble Bee, which is also in San Diego, in July after 12 years with the group, four of which were as CEO.
Her experience in “scaling and growing businesses, developing successful go-to-market strategies, improving operational efficiencies, and fostering an … inclusive workplace culture” were cited as the reasons for her appointment.
When contacted by Global Drinks Intel, a company spokesperson confirmed the post of president “is not a new role” adding that company policy is “not to disclose information on any former employees”.
Eighteen-year-old Infinium is owned by Young’s Holdings, which exited a joint venture with Republic National Distributing Co for its Young’s Market Co distribution business late last year.
