WarRoom Cellars has acquired the Iris Vineyards business in Oregon’s Willamette Valley for an undisclosed fee.
The deal transfers ownership from founders Pamela Frye and Richard Boyles, who established the winery in 1992. Iris Vineyards produces pinot gris, pinot noir and chardonnay from “dry-farmed” vines, with annual production of around 12,000 cases.
Post-acquisition, sales and distribution will be managed by Total Beverage Solution, which also handles WarRoom’s brands, including Bonny Doon Vineyard, Parducci Cellars, Lyeth Estate, Lapis Luna and Toad Hollow Vineyards.
Iris Vineyards co-founder Richard Boyles said he was confident WarRoom would “carry [Iris’s] vision forward,” while Global Wine Partners advised on the transaction.
In May, Oregon-based Willamette Valley Vineyards appointed Mike Osborn, founder of online retailer Wine.com, as its CEO.
