European wine and spirits group Schloss Wachenheim has unveiled plans to boost the presence of its Eisberg brand in the alcohol-free wine’s main market of the UK.

Eisberg, which according to its owner is the largest alcohol-free wine brand in the UK, will benefit from a revised design to the label across its recently-renamed Signature range. The rebrand exercise applies to the full five-strong line and will roll out to the off-premise channel, where the brand is most prominent in multiple retailers, including Morrisons and Tesco.

At the same time, Schloss Wachenheim has readied the release of a “premium” extension of four varietals – Pinot Noir, Pinot Grigio, Sparkling Blanc de Blancs and Sparkling Rosé – called the Selection range. Priced at GBP8 (US$10) per unit, the line will sit at around double the SRP of the core Signature line, which starts at GBP3.50 each.

“The release of the Selection range has been exciting for us to see such a high quality alcohol-free wine go on the market,” said UK & Ireland key account manager  Dan Harwood. “The more alcohol free options that are on the market, the more likely people will be to swap out one or two nights of drinking per week.”

The brand owner is also looking to add a canned version of Eisberg to the UK portfolio in time for the summer selling season.
