Here’s a round-up of the new launches from spirits brand owners in the week commencing 27 February.

Atomic Brands’ Monaco Hard Lemonade Strawberry RTD

Two has become three for Atomic Brands’ spirits-based RTD brand Monaco Hard Lemonade
  • Vodka-based RTD. Strawberry flavour, 9% ABV
  • Released in the US off-premise channel this week
  • SRP of between US$2.50 and $2.99 per 35cl can

The Quintessential Yachtsman’s Yacht Life Vodka

The new vodka, which is sourced from American wheat, has been brought to market by “a team with over 50 years of combined experience in the yachting industry”
  • Vodka, US, 40% ABV
  • Available from this week in “select luxury” off-premise outlets in the US. Also on sale online
  • SRP of US$100 per 75cl bottle

WhitlePig Whiskey’s WhistlePig The Béhôlden

Vermont-based WhistlePig has released a 21-year-old single malt distilled using malted barley and finished in barrels formerly used to age its rye whiskey
  • American whiskey, single malt, 21 years old, 46% ABV
  • Release in the US this week, available in limited numbers
  • SRP of US$799.99 per 75cl bottle

The Boston Beer Co’s Dogfish Head Crush Canned Cocktails RTDs

Craft brewer Dogfish Head has added to its line of namesake spirits-based RTDs
  • RTDs, spirits-based, Grapefruit & Pomegranate Vodka Crush and Pineapple & Orange Rum Crush, 7% ABV
  • Rolling out nationwide in the US this week
  • SRPs not specified, available in 35cl cans with the rum-based extension on sale as part of an eight-can variety pack

Cordusio Spirits’ Italian aperitif

Named after a piazza in Milan, Cordusio’s namesake brand has debuted with what the company claims is the world’s first red berry aperitif
  • Aperitif, features botanicals sourced from – and is produced in – Italy, 19.5% ABV
  • Unveiled at the end of February, available in selected on-premise outlets in Europe
  • In the UK, SRP of GBP35 [US$42.10] per 70cl bottle

E&J Gallo Winery’s High Noon Tequila Seltzer RTD

Through its Spirit of Gallo unit, E&J Gallo is building on High Noon’s vodka-based foundation with a Tequila extension of the RTD
  • Spirits-based RTD, Blanco Tequila, 4.5% ABV. On sale in four flavours, Grapefruit, Lime, Passionfruit & Strawberry
  • Launching across the US this month
  • SRP of US$21.99 per eight-pack of 35cl cans

Waterford Distillery’s Cuvée: Argot single malt Irish whiskey

Argot is positioned as Waterford’s “more accessible entry point” than the distiller’s releases to-date
  • Irish whiskey, single malt, 47% ABV
  • Released today in selected off-premise outlets worldwide as well as online from Waterford’s website
  • In the US, SRP of US$59.95 per 75cl bottle

William Grant & Sons’ Hendrick’s Gin Flora Adora

The latest bottling from Hendrick’s ‘Cabinet of Curiosities’ suite replaces the Lunar expression in the limited-edition series
  • Gin, featuring unspecified “floral” botanicals, 43.4% ABV
  • Released worldwide this week in limited numbers
  • In the UK, SRP of US$30 [US$36] per 70cl bottle

Diageo’s Don Papa Gayuma Philippine Rum

Named after a ‘love potion’ in the Philippines, Don Papa Gayuma has spent three years in ex-Bourbon casks before being finished for three months in ex-Rioja barrels then two months in casks previously used to age whisky on the Scottish island of Islay
  • Rum, the Philippines, 40% ABV
  • Available from this month in the UK off-premise, extending online on the Master of Malt platform in time for the Summer
  • SRP of GBP60 [US$72] per 70cl bottle

Douglas Laing & Co’s The Epicurean Amarone Wine Cask Finish

The seventh release in Douglas Laing & Co’s ‘The Epicurean Wood Series’ was re-racked for two years in a single ex-Amarone cask from Italy’s Valpolicella wine region
  • Blended Scotch whisky, 48% ABV
  • Released this week in the UK and unspecified European markets through the off-premise channel
  • SRP in Europe of EUR73 [US$77] per 70cl bottle. Available in limited – albeit unspecified – numbers

Amber Beverage Group’s Rooster Rojo Mezcal

The Mezcal will be the sixth expression in Amber’s Rooster Rojo portfolio, which until now concentrated solely on Tequila
  • Mezcal, 43% ABV
  • Rolling out early summer to Australia, the Baltic states, Greece, Italy, Spain, the UK and the US
  • In the US, SRP of US$60 per 75cl bottle, EUR56 per 70cl bottles in the European markets
