Here’s a round-up of the new launches from spirits brand owners in the week commencing 18 May.


Four Branches Bourbon Liberty Reserve
Four Branches have made 1,776 bottles of the Liberty Reserve to represent the date the US Declaration of Independence was signed

  • American whiskey, bourbon, Kentucky, blend of ten-year-old bourbon with Four Branches’ “inaugural four-grain distillate”, finished for an unspecified period in American oak, 48% ABV
  • 1,776 bottles produced, representing the date of the signing of the Declaration of Independence, available now for pre-sale orders via Four Branches website
  • SRP of US$119.99 per 75cl bottle

Ian Macleod Distillers’ Tamdhu Single Cask #975

Tamdhu Single Cask #975 bottle and box
The latest iteration from Tamdhu, an exclusive for the global travel retail channel, has been released to tie in with London Heathrow's 80th anniversary
  • Scotch whisky, single malt, Speyside. Seventeen years old, matured in a first-fill ex-oloroso European oak cask, 57.7% ABV
  • Released exclusively this week to global travel retail operator Avolta’s World Duty Free outlet at London Heathrow airport 
  • STP of GBP249 (US$334) per 70cl bottle, limited to 304 individually-numbered units

Cotswolds Distillery’s Cotswolds Wild Spritz

The extension of Cotswolds Distillery's namesake brand beyond whisky and into a "bittersweet English aperitivo" debuts this week at on-site bar The Hidden Still
  • Aperitif, featuring “English botanicals” such as lavender, hops and lemon balm, then “lifted with distilled fresh orange peel”. Designed to be mixed with sparkling wine and soda water, 30% ABV
  • Released this week, initially online in the UK for domestic delivery and at the distillery’s bar, which commences operations tomorrow (22 May)
  • SRP of GBP25 (US$33.50) per 70cl bottle

Takara Shuzo International’s Cù Bòcan Creation #8

The latest limited release from Cù Bòcan, which translates from Gaelic as ‘ghost dog’, is not only the "first known" peated single malt to have been matured in ex-ice wine casks, but also the oldest expression in the Creation series so far
  • Scotch whisky, single malt, Highlands. Eighteen years old, matured in a combination of ex-Canadian ice wine and -Spanish verdejo (casks sourced from Pillitteri in Canada and Belondrade in France, respectively), 46% ABV
  • Released this week through off-premise spirits specialists globally
  • In the UK, SRP of GBP45 (US$60) per 70cl bottle, limited to 3,600 units in total

Amrut Distilleries’ Amrut Pravas

Twenty-two years on from its launch, Amrut Distilleries' namesake Indian single malt has a GTR-only iteration that will be available outside of India
  • Whisky, single malt, India. No age statement, 46% ABV
  • Launched last week at TFWA Asia Pacific Exhibition & Conference in Singapore. On sale exclusively through the global travel retail channel
  • SRP of INR15,000 (US$156) per 1-litre bottle

Brown-Forman’s The Glendronach House Editions

The channel exclusive "collectible" single malts have been designed to "capture the character of the world’s enduring classical destinations through the lens of The Glendronach’s 200 years of sherry cask mastery"
  • Scotch whiskies, single malts, Highland. Line consists of The Sevillian Room (43% ABV), The Venetian Room (46%) and The Parisian Room (49%). No age statements, all three contain liquid matured in ex-oloroso and -Pedro Ximénez sherry casks, as well as in ex-palo cortado for Sevillian, ex-amarone for Venetian and ex-cognac for Parisian.
  • All three are exclusive to the global travel retail channel and debut in “major European airports” in July. The trio will be available worldwide in GTR by October
  • SRPs not immediately available. The Sevilian goes on sale in 1-litre bottles, while the two other iterations are available in 70cl
