Suntory Global Spirits is spotlighting 11 cities in a limited-edition global travel retail-exclusive range from its Maker’s Mark American whiskey.

The line, Maker’s Mark Artist Series – City Edition, will be available from this month in airports in Melbourne, Seoul, Singapore and Sydney (four of the 11 cities in the line). Next month, the extensions will begin rolling out in three London airports as well as at Paris’ Charles de Gaulle Airport, before heading to Delhi, Dubai, Los Angeles, Mumbai and New York in September.

Global Drinks Intel has asked for pricing and activation details for the series, which contains the brand’s flagship bourbon.

“Travel retail continues to be a key channel for premium spirits, as consumers increasingly seek exclusive and experience-led purchases during their journey,” said Suntory Global Spirits’ interim GM of GTR, Ashish Sagar.

“The Maker’s Mark Artist Series creates a collectable proposition that truly stands out in airport retail.”

In May, Mast-Jägermeister updated the design of a similar range of location-named bottlings. The Jägermeister City Labels line was also expanded to encompass 19 locations, adding Antalya, Austria, Dublin, Iceland, Kuala Lumpur and Poland to the range.
