Rémy Cointreau has released details of this year’s Lunar New Year marketing activation in the US for the XO expression of flagship Cognac brand Rémy Martin.
‘The Lunar New Year Family Spirit’ features a 30-second advert as well as a print version, although specific details of the campaign were not disclosed. The advertising, which runs in the US in the run-up to the festive period, is fronted by “actor & martial artist Lewis Tan, fashion influencer Jessica Wang, Michelin-starred chef Brandon Jew; photographer Kevin Wong and cultural entrepreneur & producer Danielle Chang”.
This year’s Lunar New Year falls on 22 January.
At the same time, a limited-edition pack for Rémy Martin XO will go on sale nationwide next week. Retailing for US$210, the bottle has gold, red and white foil and is housed in a red box.
In its latest set of company results, reported in October, Rémy Cointreau noted that its Cognac portfolio had seen “robust consumption starting to normalise [in the US] at [a] higher level versus pre-COVID”. The group will announce nine-month sales on 27 January.
