Campari Group has confirmed a change of lead at its ‘Americas’ business unit with Ugo Fiorenzo replacing Mauro Caneschi.
Fiorenzo, who was appointed US & Canada MD in January, took on the same position for the Americas region at the start of this month. Details on where Caneschi, who had been MD for the unit since April 2020, has moved to were not immediately available.

Fiorenzo will retain his recently-added responsibilities for the Canada market for the time being, with a succession announcement expected in the coming weeks.
Responsibility for the US, meanwhile has been handed to Melanie Batchelor who like Fiorenzo, was only appointed to her current role at the start of this year. Batchelor has been with the group since 2011 and became Campari America’s MD of sales & the RARE division at the same time as Fiorenzo’s promotion.
As Campari Americas MD, Batchelor will report in to Fiorenzo.

“I’ve been fortunate to hold a number of different roles within the Campari Group over my 12-year tenure,” said Batchelor. “However, this role is the most exciting, as the team has built an incredibly strong foundation on which I can help lead continued growth and portfolio premiumisation.”
The Americas business unit accounts for 47% of Campari’s group sales. In the three months to the end of March, the division saw its sales rise by 19.5% year-on-year, helped by a +23% showing in the US.
