Australia’s Papa Salt Coastal Gin has signed an agreement with Cask Liquid Marketing to become its distributor in the UK.
The arrangement, which will run for an undisclosed period, will see London-based Cask prioritse the expansion of the brand’s coverage to include the “premium” on-premise, hospitality and specialists in the country’s off-premise channel. The tie-up takes effect from Thursday (1 October).
Details of which company currently handles distribution for Papa Salt, which launched in the UK’s off-premise through a Harvey Nichols exclusive in mid-2024, were not immediately available.
“Our team fell in love with gin in London’s pubs, cocktail bars and restaurants, and we’re delighted every time we spot a bottle of Papa Salt on a new backbar,” said co-founder & CEO Charlie Maas. “Cask has some of the deepest relationships in the UK on-trade, making them the perfect partner to bring Papa Salt to more drinkers across the country.”
Among the brand’s five founders is Australian actor Margot Robbie. The quintet created Papa Salt, which carries an SRP in the UK off-premise of GBP39.50 (US$52) per 70cl bottle, in collaboration with Lord Byron Distillery, located on Byron Bay on the country’s eastern coast.
