Kirin Group’s Australasian subsidiary Lion has unveiled a new range for the Four Pillars gin mark that focuses on Australian cities.

The first in the series, Melbourne Laneway Gin, is set to roll out through “indie retailers” and the Four Pillars Healesville Distillery, as well as direct to consumer in Australia. A “limited” number of 100cl global travel retail-exclusive bottles will also be sold in Lotte, in Melbourne and Brisbane Airports from “mid-September”.

The label has been designed by Melbourne street artist Urshtray, to depict the city’s laneways and “urban culture”. The SKU is also distilled with coffee beans from local roaster Proud Mary and clarified butter from St David Dairy, also in Melbourne.

Global Drinks Intel has contacted the distillery for further information on the City range.

Lion took full ownership of the craft spirits producer and brand owner in July 2023, having previously owned a 50% share.
