Diageo has reported “sales growth across all regions” in the three months to the end of September adding that it is on course to meet its medium-term top-line target.
The group, which is holding its AGM in London today, preceded the event with a brief trading update. In the statement, CEO Ivan Menezes said the company’s fiscal 2023, which started on 1 July, had got off to “a good start”, although specific sales figures were not disclosed.

Diageo releases its results on a half-year basis, with its next set of numbers due to be announced at the end of January.
Menezes, who noted “ongoing volatility” in the current economic environment, also reaffirmed the guidance for fiscal 2023 to fiscal 2025 of sales increases of between 5% and 7%. The top-line lift in the last fiscal year came in up 21.4% on fiscal 2021.
