American whiskey distiller Bardstown Bourbon Co has strengthened its tie-up with Armagnac producer Château de Laubade through a new Bourbon expression.
The latest bottling, the second in ‘The Château de Laubade Armagnac Collaborative Series’, rolls out in the US this week. Debuting in April 2020, the line is joined by a blend of 12-year-old Kentucky and 10-year-old Tennessee Bourbons that has been finished for 16 months in casks previously used by the French company.
Around 32,400 units of the 53.5% ABV whiskey will go on sale in 20 states through the off-premise channel. Priced at US$159.99 per bottle, the iteration can also be bought online at Seelbach’s from this Friday.
Earlier this year, Bardstown Bourbon Co acquired Kentucky-based peer Green River Distilling Co for an undisclosed fee.
