Agave spirits continue to grow in North America despite the ongoing impact of the Covid-19 pandemic. Sales of tequila and mezcal in the US grew 30.1% by value to $5.2bn in 2021, according to the Distilled Spirits Council of the US (Discus), while volumes jumped by more than a fifth to reach 26.8m cases.
