William Grant & Sons has refilled the role of CMO, appointing Andrew Geoghegan to be its next marketing lead.
Geoghegan (below), who joins the Glenfiddich brand owner after three years at PZ Cussons, fills the position vacated by Vincent Gillet, who started in the role in late 2022 before stepping aside in July. Details on where GIllet has moved to were not disclosed in William Grant’s statement, while a company spokesperson declined to provide further details when contacted by Global Drinks Intel.
Geoghegan has a sizable stint at Diageo on his resume; The executive joined the multinational from PepsiCo in 2008, rising to be global consumer planning director seven years later before moving to Cussons in mid-2021.
Geoghegan begins his tenure on 4 November, reporting in to CEO Søren Hagh who joined from Heineken at the start of this year.
Last month, the privately-owned brand owner lined up the acquisition of The Famous Grouse from Edrington for an undisclosed sum.
