The consumer trend towards organic alcohol brands has accelerated markedly in the US in recent months, according to research released this week.
Online platform Provi, which “connects buyers, distributors and suppliers” in the country, noted that of all the organic beer, spirits and wine product lines ordered through its service in the year so far, 75% took place in the three months to the end of September. The figure features in the company’s ‘Pulse Q3 2022 Report – The Rise of the Conscious Consumer’, which names The Boston Beer Co’s Dogfish Head Hazy-O, Canada’s Empress 1908 Gin and Dom Perignon Brut from Moët Hennessy as the top-selling organic brands in their respective alcohol categories.
Other areas of Corporate Social Responsibility are also coming into sharper focus for US consumers: “Producers are … increasing their commitment and volume of brands that are non-alcoholic, organic, sustainable and minority-owned,” said founder & CEO Taylor Katzman.
According to Katzman, the quarterly research indicates that brand owners are “listening to the market”.
