Treasury Wine Estates has appointed Nathaniel Weis as the GM & senior winemaker for its California-based Beaulieu Vineyard business.
Weis (below) joins the Napa Valley brand after 11 years at local peer Silver Oak, a family-owned cabernet sauvignon-specialist winery in the US state. Beaulieu Vineyard is currently undergoing renovations, with Weis charged with leading on both winemaking and operations to “modernise” the winery while preserving its history.
Global Drinks Intel has contacted TWE to clarify who held the role before Weis.
“The winery’s commitment to excellence, innovation and respect for terroir aligns perfectly with my own winemaking philosophy,” Weis said. “As we embark on this next chapter, I look forward to working with the team to craft wines that reflect both tradition and evolution.”
The renovation work at Beaulieu is expected to complete in spring 2026.
Beaulieu Vineyard was founded in 1900 in Rutherford and primarily produces cabernet sauvignon grapes, alongside a small selection of white and rosé wines. Treasury acquired the winery in 2016.
When Treasury announced its first-half results earlier this year, the group confirmed its intention not to proceed with a consolidation of its lower-end portfolio of brands, including Blossom Hill, Lindeman’s, Wolf Blass and Yellowglen.
