Treasury Wine Estates has confirmed the latest wave of divestments as the group looks to shrink its portfolio to over half of the current number of brands.
The Penfolds owner confirmed today that Rosemount, Ingoldby and Secret Stone will be offloaded to Australia’s AG Oatley Wines. The transaction, for an undisclosed sum, is expected to complete at the end of next week and follows last month’s sale of sparkling-wine specialist Seppelt in the Australian state of Victoria.
In the UK, the Rosemount Diamond Label range carries a pre-bottle SRP of around GBP7.50 (US$9.90), while Ingoldby is priced in its home market at between AUD9 (US$6.30) and AUD20.
“Since we announced our transformation agenda last year, we’ve sold five brands and a range of non-priority assets as we focus our investment and resources to grow in key markets,” said Treasury’s MD for Australia & New Zealand and Europe, Angus Lilley. “The Oatleys bring deep experience in Australian wine and are well placed to take Rosemount, Ingoldby and Secret Stone into the future.
“We’ll work closely with them to ensure a smooth handover for customers.”
The agreement will see Treasury retain responsibility for Rosemount’s sales in Europe for “up to” three years.
In results for the 12 months to the end of June, announced in mid-August, Treasury booked an 11.2% fall in sales, with the group claiming at the time that is had “made substantial progress towards reshaping the business for long-term success”.
Just prior to reporting the fiscal 2026 figures, the company presented plans in June to reduce the size of its portfolio from 76 brands to “less than 30”.
