Family-owned Tequila Centinela has confirmed an “expansion” of the existing footprint for its namesake brand in the US.
The company’s two-strong line, comprising a cristalino (online SRP of US$70) and an extra-añejo ($150), will roll out through the on- and off-premise channels in California and Florida in the coming weeks, through its arrangement with Republic National Distributing Co. While framing the move as “expanding its presence” in the country, Centinela did not provide details of the brand’s current availability.
“Centinela’s US strategy prioritises intentional placements and partnerships that align with consumer demand,” the Jalisco-based company said. “Rather than chasing momentum in a crowded marketplace, the brand remains anchored in the principles that built its reputation: exceptional tequila, thoughtful partnerships within hospitality and a deliberate approach to growth.”
The MD of the US unit, Armando González, added: “Our partnership with RNDC marks an exciting new chapter in Tequila Centinela’s 120-year legacy. Through RNDC’s … network, we’re able to thoughtfully grow our footprint in … two priority markets with a strong appreciation for authenticity, heritage and craftsmanship.”
The tequila producer was cited as the source of Chicas Divertidas, the tequila brand founded by US rapper Megan Thee Stallion, when it was released in February last year.
