Stoli Group has recruited Andreas Sigl from Philip Morris International to fill the newly created position of CMO.
The Stoli vodka brand owner, which has undergone a change of CEO this year, confirmed the appointment yesterday. Speaking to Global Drinks Intel, a spokesperson for the company said that brand managers within the organisation had previously handled marketing responsibilities individually.
The move to a “centralised role”, the spokesperson added, is designed to “support brand managers and leverage synergies across the organisation”.

Sigl joins recently appointed CEO Chris Caldwell at Stoli Group. Caldwell moved up to lead the company following the departure of Damian McKinney in July. Sigl’s career to date has an automotive focus, having spent a combined 15 years working for Audi and Nissan. His most recent role, however, was with Philip Morris, where he was VP of global media & partnerships for five years, reporting in to the tobacco giant’s CMO.
“As we recommit to brand strategy and execution, Andreas was identified as a natural fit,” said Caldwell. “He brings the insight, skill, and inspiration to lead a consumer-centric marketing strategy.”
