Douglas Laing & Co is targeting the tourist trade in the Global Travel Retail channel with a city-specific pack for its Scallywag blended Scotch.

The privately-owned company is set to unveil the brand’s ‘Global Passport Series’ at the TFWA World Exhibition & Conference next week. The concept centres around label designs featuring landmarks and landscapes from cities including Copenhagen, Paris and Sydney.

The 1-litre pack for Scallywag, which retails in the GTR channel at EUR75 (US$73) and includes a “hologram-foiled” tube that resembles a passport cover, will be on show at TFWA’s exhibition in Cannes.

Earlier this week, Diageo announced details of this year’s ‘Special Releases’ series of limited-edition single malt Scotch whiskies from its distilleries.
