Sazerac Co has launched its BuzzBallz RTD brand in India, marking the latest international expansion for the premix cocktail range.

The rollout has kicked off this month in Bangalore, with expansion to more cities, including Goa, planned for early 2026. Sazerac has partnered with Indian spirits producer John Distilleries, in which it owns a minority stake, to bring the US-based RTD to the country.

BuzzBallz will be sold in a 18cl, ball-shaped format at 15% ABV, priced at INR100 (US$1.11) per unit. India will debut with three iterations: Berry Lemon Squeeze, Strawberry Squeeze and Chilli Guava Groove.

“On the heels of recent successful expansion into other global markets like the UK, Ireland and Mexico, BuzzBallz has quickly established itself as an international cult favourite,” said Sazerac’s VP for BuzzBallz. Jess Scheerhorn.

“India’s interest in new and interesting spirits and cocktails is already buzzing, and we think now is the perfect time to shake up the country’s ready-to-drink shelf with our convenient, innovative flavours and no-fuss fun.”

Sazerac acquired the company behind BuzzBallz in 2024 for an undisclosed fee, with founder Merrilee Kick staying on as CEO of the business.
