Pernod Ricard has promoted internally for the CMO post at its North America division.
Colin Kavanagh, who has been the unit’s chief transformation officer since June last year, assumes the same position he held for just over three years in the group’s Europe, Middle East & Africa & Latin America region. This week’s announcement represents Kavanagh’s eighth job with Pernod Ricard in a career spanning 22 years.

According to Pernod Ricard North America, incumbent Pamela Forbus has vacated the position, although details were not immediately available on where Forbus has moved to. She started as CMO in mid-2020, joining the division from the Association of National Advertisers, where she was a director.
Pernod Ricard will announce its results for the 12 months to the end of June later this week. For the first nine months of fiscal 2023, sales were up 7.6% year on year, although the third quarter – to the end of March – came in down by 2.3%. The bar set by rival Diageo earlier this month is a 6.5% top-line lift for the same 12-month period.
