International Beverage Holdings has recruited two seasoned beverage alcohol executives to flesh out its senior leadership team.
The company, which is owned by Thai Beverage Public Co, has created two new positions at directorship level. Veronica Amago joins the spirits brand owner as global sales director with Alan Mitchell coming on board as operations director.

Amago [left] has moved across from Whyte & Mackay, where she finished a near-14-year tenure as director for developing markets. Her career also includes seven years with Beam Global, the forebear of Beam Suntory, between 2003 and 2010.
Mitchell, meanwhile, spent almost 11 years with Beam Suntory, the last two years of which he was VP of quality & ‘monozukuri’ development based out of Chicago. He also spent four years with Pernod Ricard in Asia Pacific.
“Both Veronica and Alan will further strengthen our management team as we continue to grow our portfolio of brands and businesses,” said Malcolm Leask, who moved up to become MD for Interbev a year ago.
The Balblair Scotch and Caorunn gin brand owner has been in acquisitive mode of late: September saw the company spend almost US$60m on Anora Group’s Larsen Cognac unit, followed a week later by an undisclosed sum going to New Zealand’s Cardrona Distillery.
“As our two recent acquisitions show, we’re continuing to invest and grow in over 85 global markets,” Leask added. “It’s equally important to continue to invest in our team; Alan and Veronica both have a truly global skillset … .”
