Amber Beverage Group has recruited from outside the alcohol industry for its latest HR lead.

Gabor Nagy, who assumed the position of chief HR officer at the start this month, was confirmed earlier this week as having taken up the role. The executive joins the Kah Tequila and Moskovskaya brand owner from Velux, where he held HR positions over the course of three years.

When contacted by Global Drinks Intel today, a spokesperson for Amber said the position has been newly created.

Gabor Nagy started with Velux in early 2020

Earlier this month, the company, which has the same owner as Stolichnaya brand owner SPI Group in Russian businessman Yuri Shefler, confirmed the expansion of the Black 1752 liqueur to the US. Produced in Latvia, the brand will retail for US$19 per bottle in seven states, including California and New York.
