Cuervo’s Bushmills Irish whiskey unit is rolling out the third series of expressions from its ‘Causeway Collection’.
The concept, which debuted in late 2020 before returning in September last year, comprises single malt whiskies from Bushmills distillery in Northern Ireland. Ranging in SRP from EUR90 (US$91) to EUR1,200, the ten iterations will be available from next month in seven markets: Australia, France, Germany, Ireland, Poland and the UK as well as in Global Travel Retail.
The series features:
- a 33-year-old Port – The oldest expression from Bushmills so far
- 25- and 30-year-old Madeiras
- an 11-year-old Cognac
- an 11-year-old Banyuls
- a 2012 Pomerol
- a 1997 rum
- a 12YO Tequila
- a 2012 Burgundy, and
- a 2002 Vermouth
The numbers of units available for each were not disclosed.
Cuervo’s Proximo division oversees Bushmills, which sits alongside the flagship Jose Cuervo Tequila brand in the group’s portfolio.
Last month, American whiskey stalwart Sazerac Co made another Irish whiskey play, acquiring Lough Gill distillery in Ireland as well as the Athrú single malt brand. The company already owns the Paddy and Michael Collins brands.
