Brown Water Spirits has doubled the maturation footprint for its OH Ingram River Aged American whiskey brand, securing a second floating warehouse on the Mississippi River.
The brand owner, which initially had a warehouse moored on the river at Wickliffe on the Kentucky side of the Mississippi, has moved location to Columbus, about 20 miles south but still in the state. The new site will host another facility and “can also accommodate more than 15 additional floating barrelhouses”.
The switch brings Brown Water’s capacity to around 6,000 barrels for OH Ingram.
“Since launching in the fall of 2020, we’ve seen remarkable growth,” said founder Hank Ingram. “Expanding operations and moving to a larger location are necessary steps to keep up with the market. 2023 is going to be a big year for OH Ingram, so stay tuned for more exciting developments coming soon.”
In September last year, the eight-year-old company released Flagship Bourbon, an annual bottling that has been matured in the barrelhouse.
