Former Anheuser-Busch InBev executive Jamey Martin has joined Beam Suntory as the group’s next chief diversity, equity & inclusion officer.
Martin, who worked for the brewing giant’s US division for almost four years from 2003 to 2007, is moving across from current employer Mondelēz International to assume the position. During her 15 years with Mondelēz, which she joined in 2008, Martin rose to become senior director for diversity, equity & inclusion in North America two years ago.

When contacted by Global Drinks Intel, a Beam Suntory spokesperson said previous incumbent Victoria Russell stepped down in August. Russell, the company’s first chief diversity & inclusion officer, started in post three years ago. Details about where she has moved to were not disclosed.
“Diversity, equity and inclusion is … key to fostering an inclusive and winning culture, unlocking innovation and harnessing our full potential,” said CEO Greg Hughes. “Jamey has deep experience in workplace transformation and driving culture change and will be a great strategic partner to our global teams.”
Hughes moved up from the chief growth & brands officer role to become CEO at the start of October, replacing Albert Baladi.
