Cutwater Spirits is riding the growing consumer appetite for spirits-based RTDs in the UK with three flavour additions.
The California-based company, which was acquired by Anheuser-Busch InBev three years ago, has rolled out Passionfruit Mojito, Rum Mint Mojito and Vodka Mule from its namesake brand. The trio, two of which carry an ABV of 8% with Vodka Mule at 7%, have an SRP of GBP2.99 (US$3.55) per 250ml can.
A 12-can multi-pack is also available at GBP30, with all packs on sale through the UK website. Cutwater also has “plans for growth in the rapid delivery space” in the country.
Initially an offshoot of Ballast Point Brewing in San Diego, Cutwater is of such importance to A-B InBev’s ‘beyond beer’ strategy that the brand had its own advert during this year’s Super Bowl in the US.
Earlier this week, Heineken joined the spirits-based RTD race, extending its Dos Equis Mexican beer brand in the US to include Tequila-centred Margarita Classic Lime.
