More than 50,000 drinks professionals from around the world will be able to take their pick of 6,000 exhibitors to peruse at ProWein next week. This year, there will be an even sharper focus on distilled beverages in the new ‘ProSpirits’ area, as well as an expanded selection of no- & low-alcohol offerings in the ‘ProWein Zero’ section.
Au Vodka – Hall 5, Stand D39
Look out for the striking signature gold bottles of Au Vodka in the ProSpirits hall. The UK brand will head to the exhibition with its full product line, including the five-times-distilled Au Vodka Original, nine flavoured iterations and four RTDs. A firm fan favourite, the black grape flavour – made using UK-sourced black grapes – is not to be missed.
Founded in Wales in 2015, Au Vodka has since rolled out across Europe, and landed in the US in 2022.
Beveland – Hall 5, Stand G55
Beveland’s eclectic portfolio spans rum, whisky, vodka, gin, tequila and more. Two of the Spanish group’s biggest brands are Jodhpur Gin and Relicario Rum.
Inspired by India and made in the classic London Dry style, the original Jodhpur Gin contains 13 botanicals. The brand’s stable also includes floral, spicy and citrus iterations. Relicario, meanwhile, is a blend of Dominican rums that also has innovative line extensions, such as a rum finished in ex-peated malt whisky barrels and a vermouth cask finish.
Borco – Hall 5, Stand E09
Hamburg-based Borco will display a larger selection of brands following its acquisition by Stock Spirits last year. The group will highlight long-standing portfolio members Sierra Tequila and Finsbury Gin, as well as new additions Clan Campbell Blended Scotch Whisky, Republica Rum, Amundsen Vodka and Limoncè Limoncello.
Borco’s footprint is becoming increasingly international: Sierra is now available in around 90 markets worldwide; Scandinavian market leader Finsbury is available in over 30 countries; and Limoncè is the world’s best-selling limoncello brand.
Bottega – Hall 16, Stand F53
Italy’s Bottega has developed a new wine collection following the success of its vertical tastings, which included prosecco vintages from 2013 to 2022. New, luxury bottles have been created for this super-premium prosecco line, combining complexity and structure with a fresh aesthetic. Bottega will also tap into ProWein’s no/low theme with its Bottega 0 Rosé and Bottega 0 White line extensions.
Bottega is a family company that, in addition to prosecco, produces still wine, grappa, spirits and liqueurs.
Copenhagen Distillery – Hall 5, Stand D40
Made using organic ingredients and contemporary techniques, with a firm focus on sustainability, Copenhagen Distillery’s product line will surely appeal to adventurous, modern drinkers. The group’s New World whisky range is made from Danish grains using small-batch product processes. Its gins are inspired by the London Dry style, but each expression highlights an individual botanical.
Copenhagen Distillery also produces aquavit and a range of special-edition spirits.
De Kuyper Royal Distillers – Hall 5, Stand E46
Dutch liqueur & spirits brand owner De Kuyper will introduce attendees to its new ready-to-drink cocktail range at the show. Created in a bid to further De Kuyper’s aim of “democratising” cocktails, the six-strong RTD range includes the following flavours: Espresso Martini, Passionfruit Martini, Piña Colada, Strawberry Daiquiri, Cosmopolitan and Clover Club. The range recently launched in Germany and is expanding availability across Europe.
Another core De Kuyper product, Peachtree Liqueur, will also take to the stand at ProWein.
Fraternity Spirits – Hall 5, Stand E10
Mexico-based Fraternity Spirits will head to Düsseldorf to showcase its broad catalogue of products. Chief among them will be the Tequila Corralejo range, spanning core 100% agave expressions, tequila-based liqueurs, triple distilled expressions and extra aged iterations. Also on display will be Los Arango Tequila, Quita Penas Tequila and Perro de San Juan Mezcal.
Aside from agave-based spirits, attendees can also discover Fraternity’s vodka, Japanese whisky, gin and rum.
Heaven Hill Distillery – Hall 5, Stand M17
Heaven Hill Distillery will bring an exciting assortment of heritage brands to ProWein 2024. American whiskey enthusiasts, in particular, will have their interest piqued by the Kentucky-based firm’s broad selection of award-winning spirits, including Evan Williams Kentucky Straight Bourbon, Elijah Craig Small Batch Bourbon, Elijah Craig Straight Rye Whiskey and Rittenhouse Straight Rye Whiskey.
Herti JSC – Hall 9, Stand A105
As previous visitors will attest, ProWein is not all about new beverages and sampling: the show also presents ample opportunity to improve business links and manufacturing processes. For example, in Hall 9, experts in design and packaging will be waiting to introduce attendees to their various innovations. It is here that you will find Herti, which for 30 years has been creating aluminium, plastic and composite caps for food, drinks and pharmaceutical businesses.
Today, Herti produces 2bn bottle caps per year, supplying to more than 60 countries.
Hine -Hall 5, Stand L33
Historic cognac house Hine has been distilling in Jarnac for more than 260 years. The family owned company cultivates 115 hectares of vines across Grande and Petite Champagne, and ages its eaux-de-vie in cellars on the banks of the river Charente.
Hine is the only cognac brand to hold a Royal Warrant, and as well as aristocracy and nobility, has long been enticing spirits fans with its eclectic range, which includes VSOP, XO, single vintage and single estate expressions.
La Martiniquaise-Bardinet – Hall 5, Stand M03
For those seeking out new products, French group La Martiniquaise-Bardinet will showcase some exclusive editions of its Glen Moray single malt scotch whisky brand. The company will also be displaying its ‘Craft from France’ portfolio, featuring Generous Gin, made in the Cognac region, as well as innovations from cassis brand Lejay Lagoute.
Visitors to the stand will be able to sample La Martiniquaise-Bardinet’s portfolio through a number of expertly-created cocktails.
Les Bienheureux – Hall 5, Stand D09
France’s Les Bienheureux, founded in 2015, has a firm focus on innovation and quality. This approach has enabled the young company to establish its Bellevoye Blended Malt as the No.1 French whisky in sales by value, and gain an enviable number of medals for its El Pasador de Oro Rum brand, distilled in Guatemala.
Registering an annual growth rate of 85% over the past five years, Les Bienheureux aims to keep up the momentum by investing 10% of its sales into research and development.
Liviko – Hall 5, Stand D10
Estonian distiller and distributor Liviko will be highlighting its Crafter’s Gin range at ProWein this year – including Crafter’s London Dry Gin, made with Estonian veronica; the colour-changing Crafter’s Aromatic Gin, which turns light pink when mixed with tonic; and the Crafter’s Wild Forest Gin, inspired by the evergreen forests of Estonia. In addition, Liviko will showcase its Vana Tallinn liqueur; Estonian vodkas Hõbe, Bellingshausen and Viru Valge; as well as a selection of RTDs, rums and the non-alcoholic Corsaro Aperitivo.
The group is actively seeking expansion into new markets for its brands.
Loch Lomond Distillers – Hall 5, Stand K39
Loch Lomond Distillers has been producing scotch for more than 200 years – and the group will relish the opportunity to showcase its time-honoured expertise in distillation and maturation during ProWein 2024. Among the whiskies Loch Lomond will exhibit is the Loch Lomond Classic Single Malt, which has been aged in three types of American oak casks, and the Loch Lomond Inchmoan 12-year-old, which places greater emphasis on the brand’s smoky character.
Luxco – Hall 5, Stand F36
For St Louis-based Luxco, ProWein 2024 will mark the official European launch of El Mayor Tequila, including the Blanco, Reposado, Añejo and Cristalino variants. Master distiller Grace Gonzalez will be present at the show to mark the occasion.
Best-known as a producer of American whiskey, Luxco will also bring a selection of bourbon, rye and single malts from Lux Row Distillers, the Limestone Branch Distillery and the Ross & Squib Distillery, which launched in 2022.
Rossi d’Asiago – Hall 5, Stand D17
The team at Italy’s Rossi d’Asiago is looking forward to introducing attendees to the group’s five key brands, including its most-famous product – Antica Sambuca.
A newly-developed shot machine will be on hand to give guests a taste of this sweet, natural liqueur made from 17 herbs and spices. Also on display will be Limoncello Rossi d’Asiago, which can be sampled as part of a refreshing spritz; the 38-strong line of Volare Liqueurs featuring integrated retractable pourers; botanical gin liqueur Kranebet; and grappa brand Culto.
Spiribam – Hall 5, Stand K43
Fine spirits specialist Spiribam – the spirits division of Groupe Bernard Hayot – will introduce a new pack for its Chairman’s Reserve Rum during the show. In addition, the group will display its Clément Single Batch, made using very old agricole rum, and two expressions from the Rhum J.M line: the sustainability inspired Rhum J.M Canopée and three-year-old Rhum J.M Terroir Volcanique.
Joining the group’s liqueur portfolio is Joseph Cartron Bergamote, made using three varieties of Italian bergamot citrus fruit.
Stauning Whisky – Hall 5, Stand D40
Denmark’s Stauning Whisky Distillery is a place where the Old World meets the New. The producer blends the time-honoured traditions of floor malting and direct-fired pot still distillation with a modern Nordic brand aesthetic and innovative approach to whisky making.
At ProWein, the team’s signature Stauning KAOS Triple Malt Whisky, Stauning Smoke Single Malt Whisky and Stauning Rye Whisky will be on show
The Bitter Truth – Hall 7, Stand A11
One of the original players in the cocktail bitters revival, The Bitter Truth was founded in 2006 by two Munich-based bartenders. The brand now boasts an extensive array of cocktail bitters – from traditional flavours such as orange and lemon, to more esoteric variants like olive and chocolate.
The Bitter Truth has also introduced a number of high-quality liqueurs and innovative flavoured spirits to its portfolio.
The Cotswolds Distillery – Hall 5, Stand G09
Hailing from the English heartlands, The Cotswolds Distillery will be showcasing its two core products: Cotswolds Signature Malt Whisky and Cotswolds Dry Gin. The whisky – the first to be made in the historic English countryside – is distilled from locally grown, traditionally floor-malted barley and is aged in ex-red wine barriques and ex-bourbon casks. The gin also displays provenance with its list of nine botanicals, including locally-picked Cotswolds lavender.
